Madame Brussels opens up to a light-filled rooftop terrace decorated with faux grass and pastel decor in shades of pink and green. As per the famed brothel owner, it’s named after, Madame Brussels is the embodiment of a cheeky grown up tea party where patrons are served by preppy waiters donned in white tennis attire. Boasting some lovely mid-level views of the city, the rooftop makes it a great place for weekend or after-work drinks. So don’t be surprised if you have to line up on a Friday or Saturday night to get in.
The star of the venue here is the wide selection of cocktail jugs, complemented by an excellent selection of nibbles including cheese platters, sandwiches and some delicious sweets, all served in decent portions. The drinks menu is superb, boasting house specialties like jugs of Pimm’s, punches and modern twists on traditional cocktails. The Ginge Minge is a refreshingly cool concoction of ginger beer, pear cider, vodka and exotic mix of ginger and pear liqueurs.
