Romulus & Remus, centred on Italian and Mediterranean-inspired food, is founded on an innate human urge of feasting with family and friends. A former indoor golf range, the large space doesn’t feel too vast and is softened by several olive trees, booths, an impressive glass wine display, a handsome salami cabinet, pizza oven and an open kitchen. A good pizza is a worthy crowd pleaser, as is full-flavoured pasta like pan-crisped gnocchi on sweet pea puree with chorizo chunks. Gloriously meaty wagyu palate has a chilli kick and great, gutsy smoky bacon Napoli sauce. Other fanciful combos include snapper, pumpkin ravioli, finger lime and crème farouche. The desserts include delightful coffee-drenched tiramisu and coconut semi-freddo. The most favoured dish is the handmade Prawn Agnolotti.
