It is a restaurant that has an affiliation with the Squires Loft franchise, and is one of the more established restaurants in the franchise. Located in a laneway off Little Lonsdale Street, it’s typically ‘Melbourne’ in terms of location. Even though the restaurant is located on Little Lonsdale Street, the main entrance is actually on a little side street. It’s quite a large place, with an open-view kitchen where are able to see the chefs at work.

The menu is largely meat-centred (as you would expect), with a few salads and side dish options. The steaks range from $23 for a 200g rump to more than double that for a 300g eye fillet, and everything in between. One of the most popular dish that these guys make is the steak, the star of the show. It is always cooked to a medium rare perfection- the sight of the juices oozing out the steak is just magnificent. The tender, melt-in-the-mouth texture of the steak, alongside the grilled aroma of the surface, really highlighted the steakhouse’s talents. The mushroom sauce wonderfully creamy, but sported an odd vinegary undertone providing beautiful compliment to the main dish.

And If steaks aren’t your cup of tea, then worry not. This little joint has something for everyone. They offer quite a variety in choice of ribs, lamb, pork belly, seafood and burgers. The mains come with your choice of chips, baked potato or salad, and you can also order and get a gravy boat filled with delicious sauce.
